I have applied for and been invited to be a frit tester for
Glassdiversions.

This faboo program means that I get to play with frit, feed my
newly found full-blown frit addiction, and help fellow lampworkers
decide about certain frits by seeing them on different glasses and
using varied techniques.

It will also hopefully provide some serious eye candy for all!
All beads are made using a Hot Head Torch!
Island Pink
#0
Blend of blues, pinks, lavenders, and greens
Base color:  Moretti Carnelian

Technique:  Round with scrolling detail,
encased, and pressed

Comments:  I am absolutely in love with
this frit.  It is extremely versatile and
very well behaved.  Has very different
look depending on the base color.
Non-reactive with rubino as a surface
decoration.
Base color:  Moretti Opal Yellow.
Scrolling with EDP, Pea Green, and
Light Sky blue.  End rounds with
carnelian base

Technique:  Round with scrolling
detail and pressed

Comments:  Warm oranges and
peaches emerge the more this frit is
cooked when on this base.  Slightly
reactive with pea green and sky blue.
French Tarragon
#0 Opaque

Blend of blues and greens
6 and 7
Base color:  Moretti Opal Yellow
Technique:  Rolled in frit with copper
green stringer
Comments:  The first bead was
respectfully not cooked, and turned out
very well, Some of the copper green
color remained and the veining was
clear and the colors bright.  The second
bead however was duly fried and the
colors "muddied" and the copper green
turned grey against the frit.

Base color:  Moretti opal yellow
Technique:  Rolled it frit
Comments:  Nice "bullseye" effect when
melted in and shaped..but not cooked.
Colors well defined.

Additional comments:
This is a very green frit. I didn't get the
blues to "pop" well, more beads to
come.  Other testers have done this
bead on Moretti Light blue with much
more blue in the final bead.

Base Color: Moretti pale lavender
Technique:  rolled in silver and frit melted in and lightly etched.

4.   ~ Same as #2

Comments:
Beautiful variations to this color when used with silver and reactive to turquoise.
Turquoise got a "rough" edge to it as well as center veining. Very "tribal" looking!
Didn't etch deeply
