Happy Monday everyone! Hope all had a faboo Easter with lots of chocolate, food, family, and friends.

I decided that TODAY...yes today I start my diet! I'm the heaviest I've ever been since being pregnant with
my soon-to-be 12 year old son.  I officially can no longer blame him for my cellulite.  It's the Wendy's burgers
and Taco Bell! haha!

I have an incentive as well. A possible trip to South Carolina in June.  Bathing suit here I come! I proclaim I
will NOT be mistaken for a beached albino whale nor will I be a "before" picture of a makeover when I hit the
beach.

Being Mexican/Irish descent, I have some traits from both ethnicities.  I have the "features" of my father's
side (Mexican), but my mother's coloring (pale, freckles, green eyes).  My blonde haired-blue eyed brother
got the Mexican skintone.  Go figure. He looks like he was born and bred in Southern Cali.  Either
way...tanning is a hard thing for my body to tolerate..but I'm hoping just working in the yard this year will take
the pasty white scare-the-seagulls cast off my skin! haha! TMI eh?

Anyhoo....the sun is shining today in Michigan, the bulbs are poking their little heads out of the frozen
ground and bead-making productivity is WAY up.  Amazing how much you can get done when you don't
have to come in the house to defrost every 30 minutes.

Last night they FINALLY had a new Desperate Housewives.  Love that show.  That Brunette-Barbie Doll got
fired off the Apprentice.  Amen.  She crossed the line of professionalism in the board room and I swear
Carolyn was about to leap over the table at her for winking at the Donald.  I'm thinking Carolyn could have
taken her out just by pulling on her hair! Good stuff!

AND...how could I neglect to mention...ILLINOIS WON against Arizona on Saturday. WHAT A GAME!  Went
into overtime with Illinois winning 90/89.  That is the kind of game that makes March Madness so freakin'
cool!  My son and I were screaming our heads off, I'm sure the whole neighborhood heard us.

Have a great night everyone and look for LOTS of auctions to be put up this week. I have extra time and
have a glass order coming in Wednesday will all sorts of new (to me) colors to play with.  Kidlet is on Spring
Break and I'm working late into the night without having to worry about getting up to get him to school.  We
plan on taking full advantage of the weather this week and will be heading to the zoo on Wednesday or
Thursday.

Well, it was only a matter of time.  I let Monday go by without saying Happy Monday!

I was up to my eyeballs in tape, invoices, padded envelopes yesterday finally getting all those fabulous
orders from last week packed up and in the mail.  This weekend ended up being ridiculously busy with my
BF''s brothers birthday.  Since he works midnights and is unbelievably busy while at work, we are literally like
ships passing in the night (well, early morning technically) and really only have some semblance of a
conversation on Fridays...which is usually when I find out about weekend plans.

Either way, you know I had to sneak some torch time in and did get one pretty fun, not my usual style set
done.  If you like animal prints...be sure to check out my eBay auctions starting tomorrow.  There is no way
I'm getting all these beadies cleaned  and photographed by tonight, so I'm shooting for tomorrow for my
auctions!  I did have 3 sets done for listing...but after I photographed them, decided they needed "something
else"...so with the additions...will be added tomorrow as well. One set didn't make it to eBay (sometimes
beads just don't photograph well no matter WHAT you do)....it went into a purty bracelet.

On a more serious note.  The recent happenings in Florida concerning the young woman has caused many
many people to look at life and death choices....things they normally wouldn't think much about.  I've been a
medical Social Worker for 11 years, and issues such as what is happening in Florida happen ALL THE
TIME!  They just don't make it to the President.  So, regardless of your opinion (and I'll withhold mine)...look
into medical advance directives for you and your loved ones. The entire situation in Florida could have been
avoided had she had her wishes in writing.  Here are a couple of related links:

Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone!  Hope your day was full of leprechauns and green beer!  I think this is
the first St. Patrick's Day I haven't hit the bars...being a grown up stinks some times! haha!

No...really, this year I didn't mind. My honey is at work, tomorrow is a school day and...oh...March Madness
started today! WOOOOOT!

Ahem..Illinois won (OF COURSE)...but it was a scary first half...some team I don't even know where they are
from was only trailing by 1 at the half...but Illinois came back from the break smokin' and won 55-67.
Yeeeeeeehaw!

So...instead of torching like I should have been...I'm now hoarse from yelling at the TV. (It helps I swear).
Got all my special orders done..the last beadies are cooking in the kiln as we speak ( I did manage to sneak
a little in before the game started)..so if you have an order pending...it will be going out Saturday at the
latest!

I've been on a real glass bender this week...ordered something called Caliente glass that is sooooo colorful,
funky, bright...right up my alley. One is neon green the other is bright bright bright orange/red.  I can't WAIT
to make some beads with it....if only it would come.  No happy mail today. I also ordered some Lauscha in
fun colors to play with so look for some new color combos in the coming weeks.  I'm taking a road trip to
Delphi next week to buy glass too so if you want to see any special colors...let me know! I plan on stocking
up! (except copper green which *sigh* is on back order until the 31st) Persnickity glass is in short supply
lately!

Ok *yawn* time for beddy bye...I had to go to "real work" today and didn't get my nap. Not only that...I had to
wear pantyhose and heels (mighty cute little retro heels) but HEELS nonetheless! LOL!

Friday Glassworks will be up in the afternoon so be sure to check in...I'll give you a hint.....blues, greens,
aquas....and some jazzy black.

Have a great night everyone!

Lookey what came this morning!
Couldn't get a new bike and not take it for a spin...
Yes, he is in his winter coat.
Yes, there is snow on the ground.
*sigh* Boys and their Toys!
For the record...I did NOT sit on it. I wasn't even about to ask.  Sometimes we ladies just know to NOT go
there! haha!
Ok...time to go to work...but had to share! WEEEEEE!
Oh...I've also added a blog archive!

Now how could I let a Monday go by without saying "Happy Monday" to everyone?

Well, the bike was supposed to be delivered today. It was not. I had one very unhappy honey. Grumpy
Grumpy.  BUT....I don't blame him...they goofed at the shop.  Feels like they changed Christmas on
Christmas morning.  I'm excited about it now!  Cleaned out the garage...er....my studio....just for the little
guy.  SHOULD be here tomorrow (should)...I'm gonna sit on it all day...just cause I can.

Found myself talking to my fat-cat today.  Not normal "kitty" talk...full fledged conversation.  I really need to
start getting out more! haha! But HEY...the sun was shining..and only in Michigan do you send your kid to
school in their "light" jacket because its above freezing (34 to be exact).

I've been very busy with special orders the last couple of days. Thank you everyone for your support!!
What a fabulous  life I have!  Busy at work means I get to spend all day doing something I love!  Very
thankful for that today.

Still a couple of little cross-eyed lizards up for grabs and the set to the left is also for sale.

Everyone have a great week!

Just a quick update before I hit the hay for the night.  I had to comment on "The Apprentice". (Anyone else
completely addicted to this?) Aside from being in utter awe of Mr. Trump's comb-over...I continue to be
stunned at the moronic garbage some of the contestants do.  It amazes me that people that are supposed to
be at such a high"caliber" and hand picked by Mr. Trump as well...can be so ridiculous!!  I know, I
know...some of the picks are probably for ratings...but OMG c'mon.  I was so glad to see that John guy go
tonight...I literally did a little dance of glee.  He was hot...but what a jerk!  Goes to prove my favorite
quote..."You can't fix stupid".  Talk about no insight.

On a better note....March Madness starts next week. YEHAWWWW! And being a die-hard Illini fan...I'm just
beside myself. I'm decidedly NON-stylish this week sporting all my Illini gear.

Friday Glassworks will go up as scheduled tomorrow...but with a little twist!  *devlish grin*  I've been in
experiment mode!
